Safety and Risk Management

Health Benefits Management

Shopping for health insurance is a time-consuming and frustrating task. HRAH spends a great deal of resources in finding cost-effective, comprehensive medical and dental plans. The plans offered are typically PPO (Preferred Provider Organization), HMO (Health Maintenance Organization) or POS (Point-of-Service).

By pooling its employees in one group, HRAH is able to spread its medical claims over a larger premium base, resulting in much lower premium costs for its clients.

Clients and employees have a choice of Kaiser, UHA, HMAA, or HMSA.

An extremely valuable service to the client business is the risk management provided by HRAH in the areas of workers compensation insurance and unemployment. HRAH aggressively manages claims in both areas.

Workers compensation and unemployment claims is charged against HRAH's experience and could result in increased costs for its clients. Working to hold down costs together as a common goal is one of the greatest benefits of the Client's relationship with HRAH. For example, a construction company with 10 employees incurs a $200,000 workers compensation claim. The owner does not have the resources to manage this claim and it goes against the company's experience rating. This claim significantly raises the workers compensation rates to a point that could literally drive this company out of business.

HRAH will manage this claim to find a quick resolution, including a return to work policy, resulting in a much lower claim cost.

Payroll Services

Payroll administration is a basic function of HRAH and the one most commonly associated with a professional employer organization. This function includes:
